Where to start? It's a movie about two intelligent people in a world of greedy, social media addicted idiots.
Nothing about the film is classic, lovable, or even remotely rewatchable... And there were a lot of good actors in it.

The best part was when Jonah Hill put a bag over Jennifer Lawrence's head and saved me from having to look at her uglyass haircut.
Holy crap, it looked like a dog chewed on her hair after she got a bad mullet buzz from her barn-loving uncle. Wtf.
You would think she would chop it and dye it after she got humiliated on social media and by the world... But no, she continued to destroy our souls with that thing on her head.

The Borat movie did a better job making fun of Trump fans.

The movie flips between the main characters getting fucked over in "hilarious" ways and then getting super sappy, so you feel sorry for them. I didn't give a shit about any of them and was quite happy that everyone died in the end.

The world sucks and everyone is an asshole... But then there's one bar... One bar where people are suddenly concerned and "are real" and want to know what's going on. Once they find out, of course they start a riot afterwards, because why not, nobody has a family to go back to at this overly concerned bar.
Everyone is going to die and you get to watch as Leonardo DiCaprio and a girl with rat-nest-hair run around trying to save it.... And fail.

That's the movie. It's not good, it's not great, it's just shit.

Waste of time.

Having played every single Quake game there is (including the add-ons), I can safely say I am a Quake Expert. I love Quake. I love every single Quake game that has been made...

Except this one.

I have been fair, but the cons out weigh the pros. Badly.

Story - The story was simple like the first 2 Quakes: Kill or be killed. Destroy the Strogg's Boss. Easy.
You'd think it would better when your character gets changed into one of the Strogg...
until you realize you can't jump higher, shoot faster, or do anything special besides listening in on Strogg conversation...
and you're orange.
And you look like an idiot.
Really! Your character is now one of the ugliest in the galaxy.

Enemy - The AI was OK. Sometimes the enemy would attack from behind, above or below, but only in the first part of the game, near the end it got rather repetitive.
Two other things that bothered me was that all the bodies disappear right after I killed them and all the enemy were the same color, making them hard to tell apart. (Except for the guys that looked like my orange character. Great, now I have to look their ugly faces too)

Weapons - All the weapons are weaker and you have to reload them, unlike the other Quakes where you could shoot as fast as you could click the mouse and take out armies with your shotgun. Major bummer.

Levels - All of the Levels were poorly lit, making it more of a challenge and giving the enemy cover in the shadows (BTW, you couldn't see them in the dark. But they could clearly see you when you were in the dark).
Oh my goodness! You'd think the Strogg would have at least one well lit room... but noooo, they like the poorly lit rooms and hallways. Maybe it's so they don't have to see your ugly character.

None of the levels bear the slightest resemblance to the levels of the previous Quakes... now don't get me wrong, having the exact same levels or ones that look TOO similar is not genius... it's laziness.
That being said, the rooms, corridors and hallways were all to small and tightly compacted. Not as open as Quake 1 or 2.
They even added needless things like rails on stairs, pipes and other junk that hinder your movement.

Vehicles - What the heck? If you are going to add vehicles into the game, a least add good ones. Every single vehicle in Quake 4 was a flop. The entire vehicle driving part should of been left out.

Multiplayer - I don't play multiplayer on games I don't like... soooo nothing here.

I must say, I was sorely disappointed after getting this CD. I was expecting an actual Punk Rocking Awesome Christmas CD with neck breaking beats and ripping guitar solos.
But all I got was this lame CD.

I felt like the little kid who got a half baked cookie for Christmas from his rich uncle.

Despite all the bad, there is some good.

It's the same junk you've seen over and over. The story line is soooo predictable. all the adults are dolts. I'm surprised Walt Disney didn't make this.
Believe me, you're better off watching Backdraft, which is almost the same movie but with out the boy and dog... and all the idiots.

Forget The Warrior, It should have been called The Walker.
Why? Because that's what most of the movies was about, a dude walking around. Man! He probably lost a lot of weight with all the walking he did.

Rated R for 'some violence' but only 2 short fighting scenes, and the rest of the time he (yes you guessed it!) walked!

There was what? 20 lines in the whole move? Somebody would say a line then he'd walk for 15 minutes and somebody else would say a line... and he'd walk for another 15 minutes!!! And on and on.

Oooooh! Let's not forget the 5 minute walk up the mountain scene. Boresville!!!

And what's up with Portal Girl? Where did she come from? What was her purpose?
She just randomly portaled around in the movie.

Now, it wasn't all bad, there was some beautiful scenery ruined by The Walker walking through them.
But other than that, it was a complete waste of time.

The Book and Movie Comparison

The book was well written and I could actually feel for the characters, as far as the movie goes, it only had bad actors and a script that didn’t flow smoothly long.
The book was like a gold diamond in the sea of filth, I helped me see the world in a different light, I’m now am a better person because of it.
The movie was a stinking time bomb that needed to be run back to the Director who conjured it, before it infected the minds of the innocent.

But it’s too late now... I already saw it.

The lead actor who tried to portray Ponyboy, could not act to save his life, the music was so horribly abominable that my ears and heart threatened to give out on me. There were numerous other wrongs that should have been righted, but let’s no dwell on the negative.
The only thing the movie did do well, was stick to the story line, that’s it.

I will recommend the book for everyone to read, it will grab your imagination, send you soaring through the sky, and fill your heart with fluffy white stuff.
I will also recommend the movie for everyone to watch, everyone that’s blind, deaf and stupid enough to get suckered in to watching it. It will kick you in your gut, pour poison in your cup, make you drink it and fill your heart with the dread of someone who is about to die, because they watched the Outsiders.
The overall message the Director was trying to get across was that, bad movies can and will be made, and you have no say so about it. So bear with it, or fight it! Either way you lose.
The author’s message was that it isn’t always smart to go with the crowd and do what everyone else is doing, that family matters, and there is still good in the world, even though it may take awhile to find.

Both Book and Movie had major impacts on my life.
The book was original, it made me stop and think, it played upon my emotions, I laughed, I cried, I was angry, I was happy.
The movie was a rip off, it made me stop and think ‘what am I doing watching this?’, it hurt my emotions, I laughed at the stupidity of the characters and their trivial problems, I cried because the scenes didn’t flow and the none of the actors had big muscles, I was angry because once again I was tricked into watching another dumb movie, I was happy when it was over.
Yes my life is forever change because of the movie and book, it is like being choked by a fat man and able to breathe the sweetest air at the same time.

Back in 2004, having never heard of Hellboy, I went to the theater expecting a violently awesome, funny movie.

Boy! Was I not disappointed! This was the best wall smashing, heart pounding, pure awesomeness ever!
I walked out of the theater thinking: Why can't other movies be as good as this?

From the beginning to the end this movie rocked! I can't say enough good things about this film. Whenever somebody asks me my favorite film, Hellboy comes to my mind first.
If you haven't seen it, drop what you're doing, go and buy it! rent it! Do whatever! JUST SEE IT! You won't be disappointed.
It's by far the best film Ron Perlman has ever done and probably will ever do.
I can't wait for number two!
